Thank you all for your wonderful happy birthday wishes. On her birthday, we took Nadia and her 2 year old sister to Grant's Farm in St. Louis--it's a petting zoo owned by Budwiser. Then we had a nice dinner at The Cheesecake Factory. This past Sat. was her big party with our family and friends. I think she had a GREAT 1st birthday :).

Happy Birthday Nadia You guys were right in our neighborhood! We live 7 min. from Grants Farm and about 5 min. from the Galleria. Grants Farm is pretty cool. Eli has done their summer camp and she has had a blast there. She also loves to ride her bike on the trail that goes past the horses. Let us know if you come back this way, we would love to meet you guys.

Peace,
Julie

Julie,
Wow--I can't believe we were so close. That's a beautiful area. We are thinking about going to the zoo in a couple of weeks. My mother-in-law is out visiting from AZ so she'll be with us, but it would be great to finally meet. I'll let you know when we decide if we're going or not.

That would be great. The zoo is a really fun place to go. We are members, so if you come I will get you some passes for the parking (so you won't have to sell one of your kids), and for the children's zoo and train. The City Museum is the absolute best place to go in St.Louis though. Our kids live there and the aquarium is also in the same building. It is very interactive. They encourage the kids to touch everything! The Botanical Garden is wonderful and they have an adaptive playground that is a blast for the kids. Our tourism is really lacking here so people don't really get to know where the fun places are, and God forbid if you need a cab!

OK, rambling...need some sleep

Just some information to pass on. It's probably on the zoo's web page, but every year the zoo puts on 2 Halloween festivities. The Boo at the Zoo and the Pumpkin Prowl. Both are fun, but the Prowl is a bit more enjoyable because there aren't lines and it is just a nice laid back evening. It goes from Oct. 20th -30th, 5:00-9:00 p.m.. We have gone the last 12 years and the kids love it.

Thanks for the info on the zoo. If we go, it'll most likely be on 10/20 so we'd be there for the Prowl. I'll talk to my husband about it tonight and let you know.
